Arriving by car - PARKING INFORMATION FOR MONSCHAU
 
There are several parking lots around the old town of Monschau. The closest to us is the Burgau/P3 parking lot (7 euros for 24 hours/EasyParkApp).

Only short-term parking is permitted in Monschau's small historic center.
Starting from 01/Jan/2026 the Information Office does not sell park tickets anymore. Please buy a dayly parking ticket for 7 Euros. For guets staying longer and having the right to obtain a reduced ticket, the difference will be paid back to your bank account.

However, you are allowed to drive into the old town to unload your luggage. If you are driving into the old town from the direction of Trier/Höfen, stop at Gerberplatz, directly opposite the Hotel Alt Montjoie.

Please bear in mind that the few cars are part of the old town's charm, and the narrow streets can get very crowded. Therefore, we recommend parking your car in the Burgau parking lot and walking the remaining 5 minutes to the hotel. Thank you.

One more thing: Card payments are NOT accepted everywhere here, and there are only two (well-hidden) cigarette vending machines in all of Monschau!

Overall, it's rather quiet in the evenings...
