Arriving by car - PARKING INFORMATION FOR MONSCHAU
 
There are several parking lots around the old town of Monschau. The closest to us is the Burgau/P3 parking lot (7 euros for 24 hours/EasyParkApp).

For stays of 3 days or more, discounted tickets are available from Monschau Tourist Information (located right next to Alt-Montjoie) for €3 per day. A vehicle registration number is required for the digital parking ticket. Please note that the information office is only open until 4 pm.

Only short-term parking is permitted in Monschau's small historic center.

 However, you are allowed to drive into the old town to unload your luggage. If you are driving into the old town from the direction of Trier/Höfen, stop at Gerberplatz, directly opposite the Hotel Alt Montjoie.

Please bear in mind that the few cars are part of the old town's charm, and the narrow streets can get very crowded. Therefore, we recommend parking your car in the Burgau parking lot and walking the remaining 5 minutes to the hotel. Thank you.

One more thing: Card payments are NOT accepted everywhere here, and there are only two (well-hidden) cigarette vending machines in all of Monschau!

Overall, it's rather quiet in the evenings...
